1-171129-4-5-Part 5 for 12-18-17 Free Tierazon Fractal Tutorial SPECIAL EDITION

Today's tutorial is extra special long, because Christmas is almost here!  So, Merry Christmas to you all!

Go back to 12-4-17’s blog for the beginning of this series of 8 fractal tutorials.  We’ve done Part 1 and Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and today, we’re doing Part 5.

Open Tierazon.

Your regular Mandelbrot will come up.  Just click it out.  From the tool bar on your left side, hit the folder to open and find where you left 1-171129-4-5 fractal.  We will be working with this one today.  I will have a new folder for mine, so you might want to consider making a new one for each day’s fractals.

I will be abbreviating this to 4-5, and each new fractal off of this will be 4-5a, 4-5b, 4-5c, etc.

Here is 4-5.  The size I have this is 877 x 849.

Something we haven’t done yet is reduce the view of the image, so let’s do that now.  Basically, it’s zooming OUT instead of in.  Let’s back up a little to see more of the picture.

Right click on your image and choose fractal parameters.  This is what I see:

Notice the magni #.  It is 19.608474665543.  Let’s just take the 1 off the number on the far left or beginning of the 19.  It will read 9.608 … and hit ok.  Picture 4-5a.

I think 4-5a is pretty, and I like the red and green.  Let’s try menu: Color2, 23.  Picture 4-5b.

Upper left-hand corner with the blue, reds and purples are really pretty, so I’m zooming in on it.  Picture 4-5c.

It’s pretty busy now.  Adding Color1 or Color2 options increases texture and busyness.  Sometimes it’s really striking.  Other times, it is NOT.

Right click on image and choose Fractal Parameters again.  I’m going to reduce the noise by changing bailout from 4 to 1, and M-set max from 128 to 10.  Picture 4-5d.

The picture has lost a ton of busyness or noise, and the color has changed a lot.

NOTE:  If any time you do a change on your image and it reduces to the small starting size, just right click on the image, choose xy size and put in your custom settings again.  In this case, I chose custom 877 x 849, which is the size I use for FB and also Instagram.

Let’s try the menu Color, and change colors here.  Right now, it is on brg.  I chose bgr.  I had to adjust the image as I got distracting lines.  Right click and choose xy size and ok, and it redraws into this beautiful picture.  I really love the colors now.

Picture 4-5e.  Yes!  (I will definitely design some art with this picture.)

Just for fun, I chose the menu again, Color, and chose invert.  Oh wow; new colors.  Picture 4-5f.  (I got lines again, but just did the correction of right click, xy size, ok; and it rendered a new picture!)

I think I’ll zoom in up top where the dark colors are and see what I come up with.  Top border toward center.  Zooming.  Picture 4-5g.

FD options, 20.  Zooming toward the top where the red and blue is more defined.  Picture 4-5h.

FD options, 1.  Love this.  Picture 4-5hi.

Zooming off the left where the blue is.  Picture 4-5hij.

FD options, 3.  Picture 4-5KL.

I’m ending the lesson here.  If you wish, keep going and keep exploring.  I have enough to make some art work now.  Let me know what you came up with!

Have fun!
