Go back to 12-4-17’s blog for the beginning of this series of
8 fractal tutorials. We’ve done Part 1
and Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, and today, we’re doing Part 6.
Open Tierazon.
Your regular Mandelbrot will come up. Just click it out. From the tool bar on your left side, hit the
folder to open and find where you left 1-171129-4-6 fractal. We will be working with this one today. I will have a new folder for mine, so you
might want to consider making a new one for each day’s fractals.
I will be abbreviating this to 4-6, and each new fractal off
of this will be 4-6a, 4-6b, 4-6c, etc.
REMEMBER TIPS:
If your
image resizes back to the original small size, just right click, choose x-y
size, and resize and ok.
If your image turns
into a series of lines or horrible patterns, it may be because it’s too
big. (Sometimes it will be just a solid
color; and may be fixed or not by doing this.) To fix, right click, choose xy
size, and then ok; and it will redraw properly.
If you want to use FD options, you MUST use filters 3 first,
above Dimension Variant.
If you want to use the color box, you must reduce your image
size to 320x240 first. You can change
back (resize) when you’re done coloring.
You can draw or zoom in off your page and move around your
fractal in this manner. If you want to
zoom out, right click your image, and choose fractal parameters and take a
number or two off the front of magnify.
To reduce noise, try changing bailout from 4 to 1 (right
click and choose fractal parameters) and m-set max from 128 to a lower
number. Reduce by 10’s until you get a
feel for what you like. If you do too
much noise reduction, go back in and increase m-set max.
And NOW … on with this tutorial.
Here is 4-6. The size
I have this is 877 x 849.
Filters3, 33, Pic 6a.
Just below center off to right, I’m zooming in to that dark
spot. Pic 6b.
Color1, 10. The
picture reset to the original small size for me; correct, right click, xy size,
custom, 877 x 849, FB size. Pic 6c.
FD options, 11. Pic 6d.
Color rgb, bad lines correction / see above. Pic 6e. (I like the simplicity of this.)
Fd options, 16, pic 6f.
I love this.
I want to change it up a lot.
Right click on the image, Unique Editor Dialogue, m-set button is pushed
in. I’m going to really change it up by
hitting n-set, ok. This is like starting
over. Pic 6g.
Reduce some noise.
Right click, choose fractal parameters.
Change bailout from 4 to 1, and m-set max to 5. (note at 0, the picture is totally
black.) Pic 7h.
Time to zoom. I like
the tail area. Pic 6hi.
Zoom in the little symbol mid center left. Pic 6hij.
Zoom off where it’s really red. Pic 6KL.
Color brg. Pic 6M.
Zoom down on reds. Pic 6N.
Right click, fractal parameters,
change m-set max from 5 to 15. Pic 6o.
Right click, fractal parameters,
change m-set from 15 to 30. Pic 6p.
Right click, fractal parameters,
change m-set from 30 to 70. Pic 6Q.
Right click, fractal parameter,
take first two number off the beginning / on left / of magnify. This will let us zoom out a little to see
more. Pic 6r.
Zooming in on little area mid center
and off the 1st top left quadrant.
Pic 6s. I like it.
Ending my tutorial here. If you want, keep on going! So much fun.

Interesting fact!
Using these numbers on the original
Mandelbrot, you get a solid tan background.
Using on 4-6, solid green.
Need the other info on 4-6. N-set
method. Filters3, 33. FD options,
16. Color1, 10. Color, color separation, brg, and regular color mode. Put in these first, and then the parameters
(right click image, choose fractal parameters, and input each number, choose
ok.) It will redraw 4-7S.
This will give you an actual
duplicate copy of my finished fractal.
